Apply for the 2017-2018 School Year

Begin the adventure.

We are currently accepting applications for the 2018-19 academic year, grades 9 through 11. We also accept applications for mid-year transfer students, depending on openings and class size. Our application process includes the following steps:

Apply online

Click here to apply online through TADS and to pay the $35 non-refundable application fee (transfer students $75). As part of the application process, you will be asked to submit student records, a teacher questionnaire, a student questionnaire and a writing sample.

Schedule a shadow

Chesterton Academy encourages prospective students to shadow so they can experience a typical school day and meet our friendly students and faculty. Contact Mimi Giles, Admissions Advisor, to schedule a date.

Meet with our Headmaster

We want to get to know you! Our Headmaster, Dr. Conor Hill, meets with each prospective student and family as part of the application process. Family interviews typically take place at the end of your student shadow day, but can be scheduled at another time if more convenient for you.

Take the placement exam

Our placement exam is used as a diagnostic tool to ensure students are placed in the appropriate section of math or Latin, and to help identify areas of academic strengths and opportunities for growth. Please contact us to reserve a spot for the placement exam, scheduled for Saturday, December 2 at 8:00AM on campus.
