School Cancelled for Power Outage

Dear Chesterton Families,

As we wrote earlier, the power has been out at campus since this morning, and it has not come back on yet.

Once the power returns, which may be tonight or tomorrow according to Comed, the Lisle School District maintenance team will need to test all of our A/C, fire, communications, and connectivity systems. Given the need to ensure that the school is safe for all and operational, we are canceling school on Thursday and Friday this week. We have missed you all and were so excited to welcome everyone back this week, but we wanted to ensure that the building's systems were working properly after this prolonged outage.

The school administration will email you with a schedule for next week. At this time we expect that all students will be called back to campus on Monday, August 16.

Our phone system is also still down, but you can contact info@cathf.com if you have any questions, and we will make sure it is directed to the right faculty or staff member.

Regarding sports: your coaches will reach out to you if you will be able to continue with your practices tomorrow, or they will confirm with you if they are canceled. The news will be reflected in our calendar, on our website, on our Facebook page, and on our Instagram account.

Thank you for your understanding. We pray that all families are safe and sound given the inclement weather we have had recently. We look forward to seeing all students back on campus bright and early on Monday!

Thank you,

Chesterton Academy of The Holy Family
