Missing Vases and Auction Baskets

If you took home an arrangement of flowers in a vase from the gala, could you please check to see if you may have taken home crystal vases that were loaned to us by Chesterton families? Many of the vases that were loaned have a name taped on the bottom of the vase. A few of our families are still missing theirs. And if you took a vase that belongs to the school (see picture) could you please return it? Thank you!

Also, for those who took home an auction basket, you are more than welcome to donate your basket or platter back to the school if you don't need or want it. Just feel free to have your student bring it to the office. Thanks a million!

Coffee and Conversation

Please join us on April 13 for a riveting discussion with our math/science instructor Mr. Jacob Taylor, a recent convert, as he gives his unique perspective on the conversion of G.K. Chesterton. Our Coffee and Conversation events are a way for you to experience the method we use to teach your students. It's fun, engaging, and always interesting. And there will be coffee and breakfast goodies of course! You can RSVP here. We hope to see you there!

Student Retreats - All-School Lenten Retreat and Junior Retreat

ALL-SCHOOL LENTEN RETREAT on tuesday

Our all-school Lenten retreat will take place at the National Shrine and Museum of St. Therese this year on April 12. Pickup time back at school at the end of the day will be between at 3:30 and 4:30 p.m. as usual. The retreat will be led by Fr. Ryan. There will be a light breakfast and a full lunch provided for all students. If your student has any dietary restrictions, please let us know here. We recommend that all students bring a journal, a pencil or pen, a rosary, and a water bottle. You may also bring a book for spiritual reading. Students may not bring any homework as this is a day of retreat. All students must come in full uniform. We are looking forward to a fruitful day, especially during Holy Week!

JUNIOR RETREAT

  • Dress Code: Gentlemen will wear dress pants, collared and button-down shirts, dress socks, and dress shoes. Ladies should wear a nice dress or skirt and blouse and follow the uniform policy in the handbook. Dresses must be modest and at the knee or below. Dress shoes should be nice and comfortable--not higher than 1 1/2" so you can dance the whole night long! All of our out-of-uniform expectations are in effect of course.

  • Cost: $10 per person.

  • Permission and Payment: Please read the parent permission slip here. This contains all the necessary information. We ask that the permission slips and payment are brought in by April 20. Thank you!

All Students: Save the Date for Graduation

Graduation is less than 2 months away! On Thursday, May 26, at 6:15 p.m., our seniors will have their baccalaureate Mass and commencement ceremony at Ss. Peter and Paul in Naperville. What a bittersweet day! We are excited to watch our senior class graduate, but we will miss them sincerely!

Due to COVID in the last two years, graduation has not been our traditional all-school event, but this year, we look forward to getting back to it! Traditionally, the freshmen, sophomores, and juniors are the choir for the baccalaureate Mass so be sure to save the date and make sure your gala/choir attire is in good condition and still fits well. All students and their families are warmly invited to both the Mass and commencement. However, our freshman, sophomore, and junior students are only required to stay for Mass. Please mark this date on the calendar and keep an eye out for more information!

Junior parents, our tradition is also for you to help out with any volunteer jobs so that senior parents can focus on enjoying the whole evening. Please keep an eye out for a Signup Genius with many different ways you can pitch in to make this a beautiful event.

Sports Schedules

All game locations can be found on the school calendar. Be sure to give the calendar a refresh
