Junior - Senior Soirée

On Tuesday, May 26th, you are invited to the annual Chesterton Academy Junior - Senior Soirée!

This year, the Soirée will be held at Cog Hill Golf & Country Club

6:00 PM - 10:30 PM

By purchasing your ticket, you are agreeing to follow the Code of Conduct outlined below:

* To promote a healthy, safe, enjoyable event for all students, the following procedures are effective for all dances: 

1.        Dances are for Chesterton Academy of The Holy Family students only. 

2.       For safety purposes, students will not be allowed to loiter in the parking lot and must enter the event upon arrival at the venue. Once a student leaves the dance, they will not be allowed to re-enter and they may not loiter on the event grounds, including the parking lot. 

3.       The Soirée is a school-sponsored activity; therefore, all Chesterton Academy regulations are applicable for this function. 

4.      Chesterton dances are not date dances—they are fun, social dances with friends.  

5.       All students will remain tobacco, drug, and alcohol free. 

6.      The venue does not allow outside water bottles or food for this event. 

7.    Cell phones may not be used for photos, texting, or phone calls. If you need to reach your parents, please ask a chaperone.

8.      Dancing Guidelines (applies on and off the dance floor): include, but are not limited to: 

  • No getting on shoulders. 

  • No mosh pit-dancing or banging into others. 

  • No crowd surfing. 

  • Swing dance, ballroom dance and fun group dancing is appropriate. 

The Soirée is a Formal Dance. 

  • Ladies must wear a semi-formal tea-length (midi) to formal full-length dress and follow the uniform policy in the handbook. Straps must be at least 2” wide and no slits above the knee. If you have any questions about your dress, please email a photo of yourself wearing it to studentlife@cathf.com. Ladies' shoes must be nice and practical dress shoes.  

  • Gentlemen must wear a suit or tux with a dress shirt, tie and dress shoes. Your shirt should always be tucked in with a tie on, and your coat must remain on through dinner.  

  • Shoes must remain on for the entirety of the evening. 

  • Athletic shoes, sneakers, flip flops, Birkenstocks, etc. are not allowed for ladies or gentlemen at any time. 

Students in violation of the Dress Code will not be allowed to enter the dance, and their parents will be contacted.
