All Saints Day of Giving

Regarding modern man, G.K. Chesterton once wrote: “He has always lost his way; but now he has lost his address.”

At Chesterton Academy of The Holy Family, we know our true address to be in Heaven. We guide our students toward this ultimate home through the truths of the Catholic faith and by bringing them into conversation with the greatest thinkers and Saints. This prepares them to confront the biggest questions and challenges of the modern world, with the friendliness to bring others along for the journey.

Now in our 10th year, our joyfully Catholic, classical education is an antidote to the aimlessness pervading our culture. Your support is crucial to the success of our work. On November 1, we invite you to participate in Chesterton Academy of The Holy Family’s second annual All Saints’ Day of Giving.

Last year, our inaugural All Saints’ Day of Giving exceeded its goal, raising $28,530. This year, we have set our sights higher with a fundraising goal of $50,000. Your gift will support our Saints Fund, providing critically needed dollars for the operation of the school, including helping to recruit and retain faithful Catholic faculty, allowing for a Chaplain and daily Mass, and providing meaningful faith formation and student life opportunities.

MAKE YOUR GIFT TODAY OR ON NOVEMBER 1 and help us meet and exceed our $50,000 goal.

Please give generously and support our future saints!

Senior Pilgrimage to Italy

March 11 - 24, 2024

The 2024 pilgrimage will include time in Rome and Assisi and a few new stops along the way. We strongly encourage students to pay their own way. Parents are requested to help with fundraising. Start praying and discerning today if God wants you on the 2024 Lenten pilgrimage.

Why Italy?

Rome is the eternal city--not only because it is the spiritual capital of our Faith, but because of its central role in over 2500 years of history.  As such it also occupies a conspicuous place in the imaginations of Chesterton students, as it is present in the background of so much of our curriculum.

Our pilgrimage takes us to all the major churches in Rome, and on to Orvieto, and Assisi in just under two weeks. In Assisi, we visited the tombs of St. Francis, St. Clare and Blessed Carlo Acutis. In 2023, we will also enjoy a day-trip to Florence to see Michelangelo’s David, the Duomo, Baptistry and other incredible works of art. We will walk the paths of pilgrims, pray at the tombs of the martyrs, and enjoy being steeped in Italian culture. Accompanied by our tour director, Joe Long and his team at ProRome, this pilgrimage helps our students grow in faith and deepen their friendships—all while learning about the history of our Church and the Eternal City and beyond.

Little can prepare the student for the awesome visceral experience of seeing so much of what they have been taught at Chesterton brought to life around them. And nothing else can imprint that gathered wisdom on their souls, as this pilgrimage--a pilgrimage that truly unites the three pillars of our educational model, and that shows to their minds, and hearts and senses, the truth, goodness and beauty of their civilizational inheritance.

Korczak's Children | Saturday @7PM

Korczak’s Children is about Dr. Janusz Korczak, a Polish and Jewish hero who lived in Warsaw, Poland and the children he raised in his Jewish orphanage.  Janusz Korczak was the pen name of Henryk Goldszmit, who was a pediatrician, educator and children's writer. He ran orphanages in Poland for over 20 years.

Our play takes place in 1942 during the Nazi invasion of Poland, when the orphanage was moved into the Jewish Ghetto of Warsaw, Poland.  Dr. Korczak’s philosophy of raising children was unique for his time.  He felt children should be treated with both love and respect.  Korczak was not only their “parent” but their teacher and friend.  He encouraged the children to put on concerts and plays on a regular basis.  The play gives us a glimpse of a few weeks in the life of the people living in the orphanage. Korczak did his best to create as good and safe a home as possible for these children, but at one point, he discovers that his only recourse is to simply be there with them...
