Accreditation

It is with great joy and gratitude that we share a significant milestone in the life of our school: Chesterton Academy of The Holy Family has become the first school in the Chesterton Schools Network (CSN) to receive full accreditation through the Network. This achievement follows a successful site visit in May and was officially announced last week at the annual Chesterton Schools Network Summit in New Orleans.

Prior to the COVID-19 shutdown, our school was scheduled to receive accreditation through a different organization, with only the final site visit remaining. Unfortunately, the pandemic halted that process, and the accrediting body itself underwent a period of transition and reorganization. While we remain a member of that organization, the Chesterton Schools Network has since become an approved accrediting agency. We are deeply proud to now be accredited directly through the Network—a development that reflects the growth and maturity of the CSN and its unwavering commitment to the mission of classical, Catholic education.

This milestone marks the culmination of a yearlong process of reflection, growth, and collaboration. The accreditation process included an extensive self-study, followed by a two-day site visit conducted by a distinguished evaluation team: Dr. Joshua Russell, Headmaster of Chesterton Academy of the Sacred Heart in Peoria; Mrs. Emily de Rotstein, Executive Director of the Society of Gilbert Keith Chesterton; and Ms. Mary Camp, an experienced evaluator from the Catholic Schools Office in the State of Florida.

This recognition is particularly meaningful because the Chesterton Schools Network is now an officially recognized accrediting agency through the National Council for Private School Accreditation (NCPSA).

Going forward, Chesterton Academy of The Holy Family will continue to engage in a self-study and will be re-accredited on a four-year cycle. Accreditation provides an in-depth evaluation of every area of school life—affirming our strengths, celebrating our faith-filled community, and identifying opportunities for continued growth in fidelity to our mission.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our Board of Directors, our administration, dedicated faculty and staff, our remarkable students, and our faithful families. Your commitment, trust, and partnership have made this milestone possible.

Together, we continue to build a community where truth, goodness, and beauty thrive. Thank you for being part of this joyful and mission-driven journey.
