The sophomores have been hard at work preparing their dramatic performance of: Skinflints and Scoundrels, an adaptation of Molière's Miser.
At this time we have no tickets left for purchase. However, we want to share their performance with as many as possible in this difficult time. Tune in to the livestream performance of Skinflints and Scoundrels!
Break a leg, sophomores!
Parent Meeting Recording & COVID Update Letter
Thank you to all who came to the Parent Meeting, both in person and via Zoom. In case you missed it, please watch the recording of the meeting. We also sent your students home with an important letter on our COVID policies this week.
If you have not had a chance, please take a moment to read over the letter. Included in this file is a set of infographics that will help provide you with guidance on common questions about health issues that may arise.
Thank you, families, for helping to make this year successful!
House of Chrysostom Food Drive
The House of Chrysostom is hosting a Food Drive this week as their yearly service event. Please check out the flyer for more information!
Chesterton Parent’s Clubs
“The most extraordinary thing in the world is an ordinary man and an ordinary woman and their ordinary children.”
- G.K. Chesterton
We have started a Chesterton Father’s Club and are starting up a Chesterton Mom’s club as well. We are continually impressed with our community and are hoping to deepen the friendships within it. Please let us know if you are interested in more information! RSVP to Camaraderie and Chesterton, the father’s club, here.
All-School Cleaning
Before we dive into our week-long Thanksgiving Break, all students are required to stay after school to clean on Friday, November 20. Please notify your prefects and house teachers if there is any reason you cannot attend. Thank you!
Gala and Choir Uniforms - Time to Order!
As we draw closer to the Advent season, we ask all families to order their Chesterton Gala uniform if you do not have one already. Please read over the following document to review the gala dress requirements and make any orders you need to (information on where and how to order is there as well). Remember that both Lessons & Carols and the Gala are all-school required events, and they require the gala uniform (along with the spring fine arts festival and graduation). The details are provided for the boys in girls in their respective charts on the link above.
As of today, our students are still slated to perform in the annual Advent Lessons & Carols on December 10th. Given the tighter restrictions on events in Illinois, we are hoping that they will not prevent us from having Lessons and Carols, but the administration is keeping an eye on forthcoming guidelines and is in direct communication with the diocese about our ability to have this event. We will let the community as soon as we know any news that might affect that event.
Students will be required to participate in their formal dress attire. Though our Fleur-de-Lis Gala might look a little different this year, we will continue the traditions, and gala attire will be required. Be sure to keep an eye on our calendar for all events. We are excited to hear the students sing and perform soon!
If your uniform needs alterations, we have two highly recommended seamstresses: CATHF mom, Julie Schaefer 630-308-9721, and Harriet Wrobel 773-317-8247. Prices are reasonable. Please consider using them for your alterations.
