Fall Teacher Conferences, Grades, and Discipline Records
Our Fall Parent-Student-Teacher conferences are just around the corner! This year they will be held during the afternoon and evening of Thursday, September 30, 2021. School will be dismissed promptly after mass, approximately 12:15pm, so the conferences can begin. You will have about 5min to meet with each teacher. If you have more than one student, please sign up each student for a separate time.
Fall Teacher Conferences should be attended by at least one parent, and each student should attend as well. These conferences are required in the fall (conferences are optional in the spring). Please sign up here.
As a reminder, your student’s grades and record of merits and demerits are listed in your Plus Portals site. Please be sure to sign in to review your student’s progress regularly (at least once a week).
We also post a calendar of tests. Click here to view it in line with our school events calendar.
Edify - an incredible opportunity for Chesterton and the Catholic Church
Have you heard of Edify? It’s an initiative of Catholic Vote to educate Catholics on social teaching. Think of it like PragerU for Catholics. Edifying is holding a contest for Catholic organizations to win 10k dollars! Please nominate Chesterton Academy and be sure to check out everything Edify is doing.

Calling All Artists!
It’s time for another playbill contest! For each play here at Chesterton, we hold a playbill design competition for all students. It’s a great way for them to take their artistic skills outside the classroom. Find all the details about the competition here! Need some inspiration? Take a look at a few of the playbills from past years.
Campus Work Day
We could use your help with some campus work! On Saturday, September 25 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., we will hold a work day that will consist of cleaning and beautification of our campus, both inside and out … and there will be coffee and donuts! Please sign up at this link.
Coffee and Conversation Morning for Parents
On Wednesday, September 29 from 8:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m., we will have our first Coffee and Conversation meeting for parents. Coffee and Conversations are socratic dialogue seminars for our parents so they can get a taste of what their children experience in the classroom. These events are tons of fun, a great way to understand your child’s education a bit better, and a wonderful way to get to know your fellow Chesterton parents in another light. Please RSVP at this form. The school will provide coffee and water, and we would love it if a few parents could bring treats to share.
