All Things Gala
The Gala is barely a month away! Here are a few things you should do today to make the gala a success:
Sell or buy your minimum 4 raffle tickets if you haven’t already. Here is a helpful email template students can use to sell tickets to family and friends.
Buy your tables or ask family and friends to buy tickets for your table of ten - invite your family, friends, business partners, or whoever you please to join us for an elegant evening hosted by our students. Because this event is primarily a fundraiser for our school, we encourage you to bring guests who have a strong interest in supporting Catholic education. Purchase your tickets here!
Sell an ad or buy one for your own business. Our ad book is viewed by hundreds of people, and it’s a great way to support your own or another business. Purchase an ad spot here.
We appreciate all that you do to help promote the Gala, our only fundraising event of the year. It’s going to be a night to remember!
Supper Club
Parents, we are so excited for another supper club! Just a few notes to keep in mind for those coming:
Don’t forget serving utensils for your dish!
You will not be able to heat up your dish once you arrive. Please bring it hot or in a dish that can be plugged in.
We could use a few extension cords and power strips. If you happen to have one, please let us know!
We are excited for another wonderful evening with our parents!
Holy Family Week & Field Day
The week of January 31 - February 4 will be Holy Family Week! Holy Family Week will be filled with fun activities, field day, Open Mic Night, and more! Please take a look at this document for all the details on the week. Each day has a different themed dress code, so be sure to read the document so you can come dressed appropriately.
Open Mic Night
We’re looking forward to our annual school favorite, Open Mic Night! It will be our closing event for Holy Family Week on the evening of Friday, February 4. Families, please RSVP here just so we know how many chairs and tables to set up.
Students, thank you for going through the auditions! Practice, practice, practice this weekend. We can’t wait to see you on stage next Friday!
Families, the evening will begin at 4:15 p.m. with a student rosary. At 4:30 p.m. the doors will open to all families. Dinner will be a BYOE (bring your own everything) for all students and their families. The acts will begin shortly into dinner, and the evening will end at 8 p.m. It’s one of the best nights of the year, and you won’t want to miss out! We hope to see everyone there!
Uniform for the school day and the event: Chesterton spirit wear (hoodies/sweatshirts/t-shirts etc.) and jeans. As always, our out-of-uniform rules apply.
Anne of Green Gables
Our junior play, Anne of Green Gables, is in just a few weeks on February 10-12. We have a lively double cast who will bring this beloved classic to life. This play captures the charm and excitement of Lucy Maude Montgomery's enduring classic about an orphan girl, Anne Shirley, from her first encounter with her austere guardian to her thrilling graduation from Queen's Academy. You won’t want to miss it! You can find the cast list with the times each student is performing here.
Juniors, you have received the ticketing link via email today, so be sure to get your families’ tickets this weekend because all shows will likely sell out! For the rest of the community, tickets will go on sale on Tuesday of next week, and we will send the link to you via email.
Congratulations to Ms. Sophia Carver (‘23) for winning the playbill competition! A special shoutout to Ms. Faustyna Kielar (‘24) and Ms. Mary Kruce (‘24) on their beautiful submissions. We are always so impressed by the talent of our students.
