The auction goes LIVE tomorrow, Saturday, February 19!! We have some incredible baskets! Your choices include dining with priests, hunting trips, and out of town overnight stays to beautiful handbags, a La Creuset set, a Yeti cooler, and more! Online bidding opens on Saturday, February 19 at 12:00 p.m. CST, and will remain active until Saturday, March 5 at 9:30 p.m. CST. Trust us — you don’t want to miss this one. Friends and family can bid from around the country! Register today and get ready to get bidding.

Raffle Tickets:

Sell those raffle tickets! The raffle ticket sales are one of the biggest contributors to our overall gala fundraising efforts. They are also a great way for those family members and friends who cannot attend the gala to participate in the evening. Plus, you could win up to $10,000 cash! Truly an opportunity that no one will want to miss out on. One quick way to boost raffle sales today is to send an email to friends and family with a link to the raffle sales page, along with a few reasons why you love Chesterton and want them to support the school. (Be sure to ask them to put your name down as the person who sold them the ticket so we know that you earned the merit.)

Open Mic Night

We’re looking forward to our rescheduled Open Mic Night! It will be on the Feast of the Chair of St. Peter the evening of Tuesday, February 22. Families, please RSVP here just so we know how many chairs and tables to set up.

Students, please use this long weekend to give your acts a solid practice. We are excited to watch your acts on Tuesday!

Families, the evening will begin at 4:15 p.m. with a student rosary. At 4:30 p.m. the doors will open to all families. Dinner will be a BYOE (bring your own everything) for all students and their families. The acts will begin shortly into dinner, and the evening will end at 8 p.m. It’s one of the best nights of the year, and you won’t want to miss out! We hope to see everyone there!

Field Day Results

We had another amazing Field Day! The students put everything on the line for their houses and the competition was intense. Our dodgeball, ping pong, and volleyball games displayed the students awesome athleticism while the minute-to-win-it, drawing, and dance competitions showed off the students many other talents. It was really a day that everyone could take part in! Below are the results of field day. Congratulations to all houses on their hard work and dedication!

Spring Sports Meeting

Dear All,

We are inviting you to attend the spring sports meeting on February 28th at 7 p.m. in St. Sebastian gym.   This is an informational meeting for all spring sport athletes and one parent. This is an opportunity to meet the coaches and learn about the expectations of playing sports at Chesterton.

Please get your physicals into the school office by February 25 if you have not already submitted them already. You may not practice until all forms are on file in the office. If you have played a sport this year, please check that they are current and up to date.

 Register for Spring Sports Here!!

If you are on the fence about any sport, you are invited to the meeting as well.

At Chesterton Academy we believe that the development of the whole person includes sports. It helps to build virtue, grit, collaboration, and perseverance. We encourage everyone to participate in sports. Students who participate in sports are happier, perform better in school, and build confidence through improvement. As Saint Pope John Paul II said, “Sports, in fact, can make an effective contribution to peaceful understanding between peoples and to establishing the new civilization of love.” ... “Sports contribute to the love of life, teaches sacrifice, respect and responsibility, leading to the full development of every human person.”

As we know, the Chesterton schools are part of a network of schools that not only spans our country, but spans the world! The tournament is the perfect way to bring our larger community together through a fun-filled Chestertonian weekend.

Join us March 11-12 for a weekend of great basketball games!

Presidents' Day

School will not be in session on Monday, February 21, for Presidents’ Day. The office will be closed as well. We suggest that you take this long weekend to give your uniform—especially your blazer—a good wash. If you have not put your name in your blazer, please do so.
