Gala Parent and Student Expectations

Tomorrow is our gala! We are so grateful for the work that every student, parent, faculty, and staff member has done to get us here. It’s going to be a night to remember and we can’t wait to celebrate with everyone!

  • Students, tomorrow is the gala!

    • Please meet at Drury Lane at 4:00 p.m. Your House teachers will be taking attendance. It is very important to arrive on time for choir rehearsals and a pep talk for all of the students!

    • Please come in your formal attire uniforms. Gentlemen, don’t forget your bowties. Ladies, you can wear pearls!

    • Seniors, our tradition is for your class to come to Drury Lane before the gala to help. Please come to Drury Lane to help from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. However, we need a few more senior boys to help the auction committee with loading items at school at 9 a.m.

  • Parents: If you have not already, please sign up for a volunteer job. There are jobs we need help with during the gala, as well as the week following. The jobs we still need filled are: silent auction check out, silent auction checkout lead, end of night flower cleanup, and collecting raffle supplies.

A Note on our Lenten practices from Fr. Ryan

And just like that, Lent is here! Fr. Ryan wrote an insightful note on Lent to help our community to live Lent to it’s fullest. Please give it a read here. We are praying that everyone may have a fruitful Lent!

Letter from Ms. Fletcher on Affability

With the Fleur-de-Lis Gala coming up this Saturday, March 5, our students have been hard at work preparing for our annual fundraiser. They are the hosts of this event, and hospitality is a hallmark of Chesterton Academy. One of our teachers, Ms. Clare Fletcher, teaches her theology classes that affability is a virtue. We invite you to read more about her thoughts on this subject here.

Spring Sports - practices have begun!

Spring Sports are in full swing! Our Lady Saints soccer team and our Gentleman Saints rugby team have begun their practices. Please keep an eye on the calendar for all practice times and game times. If you would still like to play a sport this spring, you have until March 15 to sign up. But don’t wait! Each practice is important to have a great season. If your student will be missing a practice, please let their coaches know. We are excited for another great sports season! Go Saints!
