Holy Family Days
Every year we celebrate our namesake, The Holy Family, during the last week in January. This week consists of our Winter Field Day (on Wednesday), spirit wear and dress-up days, a volleyball tournament and festivities throughout the week. Please see the uniform changes for the week. It will be a week to remember!
Field Day and House T-Shirts
We will have our annual Winter Field Day next week on Wednesday 1/27/21. It will be a full field day so no classes will be held that day. The students will compete with their house in various events, both physical and intellectual. Students should come to school on Wednesday in mass appropriate sports attire. Please see the out-of-uniform-policy for guidelines. Students were given house t-shirts that they are required to wear. Please be sure your student is wearing his/her house shirt or they will have to buy a new one at the front office upon arrival. We are excited for another great day of friendly competition!
Cultura Vitae
March for Life D.C.
Though Chesterton has not taken a bus themselves, many of our students have attended the official March for Life in D.C. Again, this year looks different than all others and the D.C. march will be virtual. Please find all the information on the march here. We strongly encourage families to attend the online events!
Supper Club
At Chesterton Academy, community life is one of our top priorities. Though it has been a difficult year when it comes to hosting our usual community events we are excited to announce that we will be bringing back one of our regularly scheduled events… our Supper Clubs! Chesterton Supper Clubs are once a month dinner events for our parents, faculty and staff. The night typically consists of a cocktail hour with fellowship, a guest speaker, and a delicious potluck dinner. They are perfect evenings for our parents to meet and deepen their friendships. Though we are still figuring out the logistics for our first Supper Club of the year, we are excited to announce February 6th as our official first date back! Please stay tuned for more information.
Gala Update
Auction
As the Christmas season is coming to a close and you go back to your day to day, we ask you to keep in mind the needs for our upcoming auction. We are asking each family to procure a donation by the February 1 deadline. Perhaps you received fine wine or liquor, a beautiful gift basket, or gift certificate that you would like to donate to the auction. There are so many ways to contribute a donation. If you have any empty Christmas gift baskets from the holiday season and would like to donate them, we would be happy to use them for our auction baskets. Please let Karen Nawas know and we will work with you on obtaining the basket.
Please see the list of items below of things we are looking for. Please contact Karen Nawas with any questions regarding donations or other ideas you may have. Turn in all items to the office with a completed intake form. Any alcohol donations may be coordinated with Julie Bowles as we cannot have those on campus. Many thanks for all your contributions!
